Alpavirama is a two day long film festival hosted by the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, at an interval of every two years. It prides itself on being entirely non commercial, in the sense that it is funded entirely by donations from ex-students and so on, which also makes it a rather small, intimate festival. 

 

I had the opportunity to create the newsletter for this festival, which was a rather intense process, but extremely interesting nonetheless.Though my specialization is film and not graphic design, I love Publications and this was a great exercise in creating one from scratch with limited resources.Another lovely thing about this particular newsletter was the people I spoke to for it: The filmmakers, the jury panelists, the students, the festival goers. 

 

Credit is also due to Mridul Narnaulia, who did all the interviews and layouts with me and Pragun Agarwal, the graphic designer who gave me much advice on how to go about it.
